Medical Education Affiliate Relationship Coordinator

Position Information

The University of California, Riverside School of Medicine Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) Department is seeking a collaborative and relationship-focused professional to serve as the Medical Education Affiliate Relationship Coordinator. Under the general direction of the Director of Medical Education and in support of the Associate Dean for Clinical Medical Education, this position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining strategic relationships with clinical faculty, hospitals, clinics, and community-based medical education partners throughout the Inland Empire. The incumbent supports the recruitment and retention of clinical education sites and faculty participating in Pre-Clerkship, Clerkship, and LACE programs, while coordinating affiliation agreements, faculty appointments, learner placements, and ongoing program support activities. This position plays a key role in expanding and sustaining high-quality clinical learning opportunities that support the mission and educational objectives of the UCR School of Medicine. The full salary range for the Medical Education Affiliate Relationship Coordinator is $68,500 - $121,900 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $95,200 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements. This position is fully onsite at the UCR Main Campus for at least the first six months. It may then be eligible to transition to a hybrid role of 3 days onsite/2 days remote.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient skills in training and guiding employees on site-specific administrative and operational processes. Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire staff to improve center services.
• Working knowledge of department, organization, HR and university policies and processes. Working knowledge of relevant industry federal, state and local laws and regulations including national accrediting organizations and state and federal licensing and regulatory offices.

Department Custom Scope

The Medical Education Affiliate Relationship Coordinator is responsible for medical education-connected learning opportunities including but not limited to: Pre-Clerkship, Clerkship and LACE Programs. The activities include but are not limited to the following: faculty outreach and follow-up, marketing of services, Affiliation Agreements, securing faculty appointments, and providing customer-service support to faculty as needed. Also responsible for initiating and facilitating contract renewals, while securing, and maintaining faculty appointments. The incumbent will be a contributor on a team whose expectations are to meet/exceed performance objectives with the highest level of integrity. Some local travel may be required to medical sites and/or to provide services to participating faculty. In the role of Medical Education Affiliate Relationship Coordinator, you will be supporting the Associate Dean, Clinical Medical Education and reporting to the Director of Medical Education of Undergraduate Medical Education.
