Department Summary
The Vending program is responsible for providing the campus with convenient, reasonably priced food products to faculty, staff and students. The department operates approximately 320 vending machines at 45 primary locations on campus. Major duties include budget management, purchasing products and cash and inventory control. The Vending Services Manager's role as the principal representative of the Vending division in interaction with other University units is important in attaining stated objectives. Major interface of the Vending Division with the Purchasing Department, Accounting Office, Physical Plant, Residence Halls, ASUCLA, and various academic departments is directed by the Manager of Vending Services.
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Vending Operations Manager, the incumbent is responsible for delivering and servicing vending machines across campus. This includes picking up merchandise from the warehouse to stock the delivery truck, maintaining inventory records of all items retrieved and delivered, and ensuring proper rotation of goods in vending machines to maintain freshness. The role also involves cleaning and sanitizing equipment as needed, performing minor repairs on vending machines, and keeping the delivery truck clean and in good working order.
