Position description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA invites applications for an Assistant Adjunct Professor. This candidate will work in the UCLA Gynecologic Oncology (G.O.) Discovery Laboratory with the lab PI Dr. Sanaz Memarzadeh and her research team. The candidate is expected to develop and execute independent thinking, scientific progress and research plans/manuscripts/grant proposals while supporting ongoing academic and research endeavors in the area of gynecologic oncology.

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree or equivalent to apply. Applicants must also have an expertise in metabolism as it pertains to mitochondrial function; lineage plasticity in epithelial tumor biology; and previous experience in studying tumors with small cell neuroendocrine characteristics. A strong background in tumor metabolism is required.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience, credentials and prior accomplishments.

This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
