Position description

The Department of Psychology is currently seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to serve as lead content developer for a new interdisciplinary training initiative focused on adolescent development for youth-serving professionals.

Criteria:
Candidate must have a Master's Degree (Doctorate preferred) in Education, Neuroscience, Psychology, or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience. In this role, you will design and deliver high-quality learning experiences, including asynchronous and synchronous modules (eLearning, webinars, and in-person training), multimedia resources, and facilitator guides, that translate developmental science into practical, accessible training. Working closely with county and state education offices, school districts, and cross-sector stakeholders (attorneys, social workers, other youth-serving professionals), you will conduct needs assessments, map curricula, and build training pipelines that meet professional development and continuing-education standards. Responsibilities also include assisting with coordinating logistics for content production, speaker/panelist selection, interactive activities, and stakeholder collaboration, ensuring all materials meet accessibility and adult-learning best practices.
