Description
Join our cutting-edge proteomics and screening laboratory, where you'll perform essential experiments that drive scientific discovery. Your responsibilities will include cell culture, sample preparation, and executing experimental protocols using both primary and immortalized cell cultures. You will also engage in small molecule screening, proteomic sample preparation, gene editing, and data analysis.
Salary: $28.69 - $34.21 hourly
Qualifications
Required:
- BS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, cell biology, computational and systems biology or related field or equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training
- Knowledge of basic laboratory safety
- Skilled in working with basic laboratory equipment
- Ability to perform several tasks at once, communicate clearly and work in a team environment.
- Must be responsible and able to work independently, without close supervision. Knowledge of PC computers, spreadsheet and word processing programs.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is necessary. Conducting research experiments required.
- Knowledge of cell and molecular biology techniques as well as basic genetics is highly desirable.

Preferred:
- Some knowledge to work with cell culture and immortalized cell culture, isolations RNA, western blotting and gel electrophoresis is highly desirable.
- Some knowledge or interest in understanding organic chemistry is desirable.
- Ability to perform basic technical duties such as logging in reagents and data analyses.
- Experience with cloning and recombinant protein purification is highly desirable.
