Join our dynamic integrative care team at East-West Medicine, where Internal Medicine meets Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. This is a great position to gain hands-on experience in Internal Medicine, learning how to manage chronic conditions, acute illnesses, preventive care, and patient education while integrating complementary therapies. As an LVN, you will support physicians and acupuncturists by assisting with patient evaluations, helping with acupuncture treatments, and educating patients on integrative health practices. You will also collaborate closely with Medical Assistants to maintain clinic efficiency, ensure safety and infection control, and deliver compassionate, high-quality care that addresses both immediate needs and long-term wellness.
Salary Range: $36.34-$47.94
Required:
- Possess active license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with Intravenous Therapy and blood withdrawal certification.
- minimum of 6 months of experience as an LVN
- Possession of active CPR BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Ability to take vital signs, administer medications and obtain drug refills as needed.
- Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and report to the physician.
- Knowledge of symptomatology of common and or life threatening medical problems.
- Interpersonal skills in maintaining a cooperative working environment with the physicians, staff, and all health providers.
- Performs phlebotomy, CPR, Injections, and other skills within scope of practice.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills, Windows computer function, computer navigation, and ability to use computerized patient care systems.
- Knowledge of all safety requirements when handling biohazardous specimens or contaminated instruments
- Verbal skills to effectively convey sensitive information in a courteous manner in person or on the telephone
