DescriptionThe Rehab Aide I or II provides support for patient care services under the direct supervision of licensed Physical and Occupational Therapists. This role assists with selected patient treatments and supports the overall efficiency of clinical operations across outpatient (OP) care settings.Responsibilities include assisting with patient treatment activities; maintaining therapy equipment and departmental areas; performing clerical and administrative duties; and completing other related tasks as assigned. As a float position, the Rehab Aide will be rotated and assigned across various outpatient clinical areas based on operational needs.Salary Range: $24.83 - $27.76 per hour. The position may convert to a career appointment.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Shows initiative with assigned tasks
- Ability to multi-task
- Basic Life Support certified by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- More than 6 months of relevant Rehab Aide experience qualifies for Rehab Aide 2 title.
- Ability to safely perform repetitive bending, stooping, squatting, standing, sitting during an eight to ten-hour day.
- Normal duties involve frequent lifting (up to 35 pounds), transferring patients, pushing a wheelchair up to 500 feet.
