What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leave Analyst-Workers Compensation and Modified Duty position at University of California - Los Angeles Health?
Under the direction of the Workers' Compensation Analyst and department manager, you will manage workers' compensation claims by supporting employees who have experienced work-related injuries or illnesses. In this role, you will ensure that affected employees receive appropriate benefits and can return to work safely.
As our Leave Analyst, your responsibilities include reviewing treatment progress, recommending medical treatment interventions to the third-party claims examiner, and ensuring compliance with applicable workers' compensation laws, regulations, and UCLA Health's Transitional Return to Work program.You will also be involved in evaluating and developing modified work assignments for employees (occupational and non-occupational) with temporary medical limitations.
Salary Range: $68,800 to $141,000 annually
- Bachelor's degree in business, social sciences, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3-years of Human Resources experience
- HR Certifications and orWorkers' Compensation and/or Disability Management Certification preferred
- Experience in a case management systems
- Experience in assisting employees with questions about workers' compensation
- Knowledge of workers' compensation regulatory forms
