The Manager, Wound Care Services is responsible for the operational leadership, clinical oversight, and daily supervision of outpatient wound care services. The incumbent is accountable for all operational, administrative, and supervisory activities, ensuring services are delivered safely, accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory, accreditation, and health system standards. This role maintains responsibility for the planning, coordination, and evaluation of wound care operations, overseeing the delivery of evidence-based wound management, ostomy care, and skin integrity programs within the assigned area. This position is accountable for departmental performance, including operational processes and financial stewardship, and collaborates with clinical, administrative, and operational leadership to support quality improvement initiatives, workforce development, technology and supply planning, and the achievement of departmental performance goals. The Manager exercises independent judgment in managing day-to-day departmental operations, staffing, and the execution of established wound care program objectives.
Qualifications:- BA/BSN or equivalent combination of education, licensure and relevant experience.
- Minimum five years supervisory/managerial experience
- Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Physical or Occupational Therapy including 5 years of experience in a hospital setting
- Current CA Physical Therapy or Occupational in good standing or CN RN
- Must be a graduate of an accredited program
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Ability to read and correctly interpret complex regulations, contracts and policies
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to plan strategically
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- Previous management/supervisory experience
- Master’s Degree
- Basic Life Support
