  • Current, valid CA medical license, Valid DEA certificate, Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine

  • Graduate of Internal Medicine Residency Program

  • Completion of a General Internal Medicine Residency program

  • Clinical experience working in both ambulatory and inpatient medicine, with medical student and resident learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • 35% - Preop

  • 10% - Outpatient

  • 20% - Inpatient

  • 35% - Float time

Department Overview

The Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM) is a division in the Department of Internal Medicine. GIM includes over 40 clinician educators, clinician researchers, staff physicians, and scientists committed to improving patient care through teaching, community and clinical service, and research. We have a very active and diverse research portfolio on such topics as opioid addiction, education and health equity, diabetes care in young adults and families, population health, and air quality. A large number of our faculty are leaders in the School of Medicine, innovating in admissions and developing programs and curricula to prepare students to care for everyone. Our physicians work in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings at UC Davis, the Northern California VA, and in a number of community health centers, most notably the Sacramento County Health Center FQHC.
