Department Custom Scope
Reporting to the Landscape Supervisor, the Lead Groundskeeper guides and performs a variety of landscape and grounds maintenance projects to care, maintain, and preserve the landscape and hardscape throughout the University of California Riverside campus. The Lead Groundskeeper is the steward of critical day-to-day operations in a supervisor's absence and acts as a subject matter expert and a resource to team members. When needed, this position may perform other landscaping and refuse duties, and assist with event set-up/clean-up. May work independently or as a part of a team in assigned work areas. Performs all job duties in adherence to University and departmental safety guidelines. Maintains a positive attitude and communicates effectively with colleagues, supervisors, staff, faculty, and students.
