Job Overview
The University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources is seeking an experienced Community Outreach Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our education program, you will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and delivering education programs to community members through direct education and volunteer management.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers to deliver UC-approved curricula and activities.
- Develop strategic outreach plans to ensure all eligible ethnic groups and races have received information regarding program education opportunities.
- Meet with local partners to discuss the delivery of lessons to their students and clientele.
- Maintain accurate records tracking partnerships, collaborations, and community events.
Delivering High-Quality Programs
You will work closely with our team to develop and implement high-quality education programs that meet the needs of our community. This includes delivering lessons utilizing adult and/or youth learning techniques, and ensuring that all programs are delivered in a manner that is engaging, interactive, and effective.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- An Associate degree in a related area, or equivalent experience/training.
- Continuing education in a related field is required.
- Knowledge of community education and/or teaching practices.
- Working knowledge of conducting needs assessments.
- Proficient in using Windows-based computers with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
