- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Associate's degree in Nursing, Diploma RN, or Master's degree in Nursing.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited RN nursing program
- Valid Registered Nursing License
- Minimum of one (1) year of Registered Nursing experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Basic computer skills.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills; communicates accurate and complete information;
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when necessary.
- Strong work ethics and accountability.
- BLS Current
Preferred Qualifications
- Orthopaedic experience a plus
- EPIC experience
Additional Information:
- Assist surgeons with in-office orthopedic procedures.
- Assist with patient intake and the rooming process.
- Educate patients and families on conditions and DME.
- Obtain medical clearances for surgical patients and prior authorizations for surgery, DME, and medications.
- Assist with patient physical examinations and laboratory draws.
- Coordination and scheduling of outpatient surgical procedures.
- Schedules appointments, and responds to and prioritizes incoming patient calls as needed.
- Telephone interactions require assessment and patient education.
- Responds to patient questions appropriately, providing reassurance and addressing concerns.
- Maintains accurate and detailed records with pertinent information and education within Epic.
- Utilizes current nursing practice to provide patient-focused care while exemplifying service excellence, care, concern, respect, and cooperation.
- Interacts with and assists the public in a professional and friendly manner as needed.
- Demonstrates positive working relationships with co-workers, management team, and ancillary departments; follows the Core Concepts of Patient and Family Centered Care and the Basic Code of ConductGuidelines.
