Summary of Job Duties:
The Research Advancement Specialist will provide direct research support to the Maritime Transportation Education and Research Center (MarTREC) and the Department of Industrial Engineering. Job responsibilities include research proposal development support, grant writing, and research advancement.Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

At least three years of related experience applicable to the duties of the position

Experience in an academic unit, department, or college
Preferred Qualifications:

Five years of related experience working in research administration

Experience in grant writing
-
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills

Experience in working directly with faculty researchers

Experience working with University of Arkansas research-related software, including proposal submission software system
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities for this position (KSAs):

Knowledge of current sponsor and institutional regulations and compliance

Knowledge of University of Arkansas Streamlyne software

Proficient skills using Microsoft Office and Adobe products

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work independently and professionally with external and internal college stakeholders
Additional Information:
This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
Salary Information:
$60,000 - $75,000 (commensurate with education and experience)
