Minimum Qualifications:
High School, GED or formal educational equivalent.
Health Care Experience. Patient Care Experience. Certified Nursing Assistant or Military Corpsman.
Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability.
Successful completion of patient care technician course is required within three (3) months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPR Certified/Licensed.
Experience in an ambulatory care setting
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
- Takes and records vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse and temperature.
- Assists with admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.
- Transports patients to exam rooms or other areas safely.
- Helps clinic flow move efficiently.
- Provides basic guidance and support to patients and families.
- Answers questions or direct visitors within the Women's Center.
- Maintains a clean and organized care environment.
- Follows all UAMS policies, safety standards, and procedures
- May perform other duties as assigned.
