What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Assistant position at University of Arkansas?
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for the daily parking garage maintenance and general labor activities. This position performs maintenance by collecting and removing trash from the parking structures and the surrounding grounds; operates custodial equipment and performs minor custodial equipment maintenance; supervises two part-time service assistant positions; and requests supplies as needed. This position reports needed repairs and safety issues encountered in the facility.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of sufficient education or training to read and write; plus two years of experience/on-the-job training, performing grounds keeping and/or the maintenance of lawn-care equipment. Valid Driver's License
