Required Education and/or Experience
At least one (1) year of experience in a marketing or content creation role, or equivalent relevant experience.
Preferred Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field OR currently enrolled in a related undergraduate degree program

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Email and Social Media Management
Support the Director in maintaining a content calendar for social media and email marketing channels.
Respond to comments and messages on social media and marketing channels.
Analyze and prepare monthly reports on marketing data and metrics.
Support the Director in developing SMART marketing goals and objectives for the department, including specific goals for some individual programs.
Support the Director in developing copy for social media and marketing channels
Take photos and short videos during classes and programs to be used for marketing and communications.
Draft marketing flyers and graphics for use in promoting new classes and programs
Draft press releases about classes and programs (as needed).
Perform SEO and website content audits (as needed).
Support instructors in adapting presentation materials to align with the university, department, and program brand and design standards.
Update website landing pages based on upcoming courses and schedules.
Carry out customer discovery or market research projects (as needed)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Excellent verbal communication skills
Understanding of different social media platforms and content management
Basic knowledge of tracking and measuring marketing campaign performance
Basic smartphone photography composition and editing skills
Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g. Campaign Monitor)
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint
Proficiency in Canva
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
