Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Gerontology, Nursing, Social Work, Higher Education, or a related health or human services field, plus three (3) years of leadership experience in program management, community outreach, and/or healthrelated education required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience supervising professional staff and managing multidisciplinary teams.
Experience developing and delivering educational programming in virtual and inperson formats.
Experience working with community leaders/partners, healthcare organizations, and/or academic institutions.
Strong skills in project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
Proficiency in data collection, evaluation processes, and qualityimprovement methodologies.
,Writing, public speaking and social media experience, leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DNP, DrPH) in a related field
Minimum 10 years related experience.
Licensed in a health professional field.
Certification in project management, quality improvement, or related areas (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma, CHES/MCHES).
Experience with grants.
Experience working with older adult populations or agingrelated services.
Experience in curriculum development or instructional design
Familiarity with health literacy standards and best practices
Experience conducting or supporting applied research and disseminating findings
Experience with strategic planning and organizational development.
Familiar with developing interview questions and dialogue.
Develops scripts.
Ability to write well, good public speaking skills.
Represents AGEC professionally at all times.
Responsibilities:
Provides strong leadership, supervision, and evaluation for AGEC education coordinators, communications specialists, and additional personnel as needed.
Oversees outreach and education staff, including scheduling, workload management, and coordination of activities.
Ensures highquality performance, professional growth, and alignment with AGEC and GWEP goals.
Develops, delivers, and manages educational programming-including continuing education credit-for healthcare professionals, direct care workers, first responders, community members, students, and other audiences.
Translates evidencebased content into scripts, presentations, and diverse educational modalities tailored to varied learning needs.
Conducts programs through multiple formats, including facetoface, virtual, and hybrid methods.
Establishes, strengthens, and expands partnerships with academic institutions, primary care organizations, community senior centers, AARP representatives, Alzheimer's Associations, first responders, the Community Health Worker Association, and other community partners.
Collaborates with UAMS and partner institutions to design and implement interprofessional activities and clinical experiences that support students, faculty, and community stakeholders.
Actively participates in community and statewide committees that influence olderadult health and services.
Serves as a key contributor to AGEC strategic planning, program brainstorming, budgeting, and development of HRSA basic grant needs, supplemental requests, and carry-forward proposals.
Leads qualityimprovement initiatives for AGEC outreach activities and ensures coordination of education, activities, and outcomes with AGEC clinical partners.
Performs data collection and rootcause analysis to identify barriers to achieving grant objectives and proposes evidenceinformed solutions.
Provides leadership for all publicfacing and partner communications, including web content, social media, streaming, and general marketing activities.
Ensures program materials meet appropriate healthliteracy standards and oversees the development of educational packets, announcements, and brochures.
Ensures all website content related to programs, activities, and evaluations is accurate, current, and userfriendly.
Develops and manages AGEC budgets for outreach, marketing, communications, and educational partnerrelated programs.
Prepares budget drafts and justifications for AGEC/HRSA funds and collaborates with subaward grantees and contractors on budget development.
Supports grant applications, submissions, evaluation processes, and reporting requirements.
Participates in research with AGEC staff and partners and disseminates findings through appropriate channels.
Oversees data collection for demographics, evaluations, and all required reporting elements for grant compliance.
Provides accurate, timely information needed to construct reports for grant organizations and stakeholders.
