Summary of Job Duties:

The Division of Student Affairs is seeking an Assessment Coordinator to join a shared services team focused on data analysis and reporting for the Division of Student Affairs. This position supports the Director of Analysis and Reporting with divisional program evaluation, assessment, data acquisition, statistical analyses, data visualization, and reporting. These efforts will contribute to data-driven decisions for the Division of Student Affairs as they relate to understanding the utilization and satisfaction of services, the impact on student success, and divisional strategic planning.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, survey methodology, data science, education research, or a related field that has a statistical requirement for degree completion from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least two years of experience in the full assessment cycle (i.e., survey design, data acquisition in Qualtrics, statistical analyses, data visualization, and technical report writing)
  • Experience in developing Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols for approved human subjects research
  • At least two years experience with data visualization tools (i.e., Power BI, Fabric, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least two years of experience in survey design, data analytics, research among a student population, or related roles in higher education
  • At least two years of experience working among a team of data analysts
  • Experience in developing internal documentation of processes (e.g., standard operation procedures manuals)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs)

  • Knowledge of the full assessment cycle (e.g., IRB submissions, data acquisition, technical reporting)
  • Ability to analyze and visualize large relational database sets among various data sources.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skill
  • Ability to manage data through Excel, SAS Enterprise Guide, Power BI, R, and/or other programs
  • Ability to identify trends across key factors and translate data findings into actionable insights
  • Ability to work independently, initiate projects, clearly communicate the results of statistical analysis, and seek outside data

Salary Information:

$61,735 (Commensurate with education and experience)
