APRN:
Master's Degree in Nursing
2 years of nursing experience preferred
Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APRN/CPN License.
Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.
or
PA:
Physician's Assistant Certificate of Registration with the Arkansas Medical Board, or be certification eligible, and be certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities:
Obtains a relevant health and medical history, performs a comprehensive physician examination, identifies health risks and needs, updates and records changes in health status, and assesses mental and functional status
Implements treatment plans, orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic tests, prescribes medical treatments and medications, and manages health issues in collaboration with designated physician(s)
Provides an acceptable plan of care that maximizes the patient's health potential and takes into account ordering of appropriate diagnostic tests, identifying and prescribing appropriate pharmacologic agents when needed, and identifying and planning non-pharmacologic interventions when appropriate
Consults with physicians and other health professionals when needed. Follows up on the client by phone calls, rounds, scheduled visits, and lab results
Promotes optimal health of the patient by including preventive and health promotion activities into the plan of care and participating in clinical pathway development and quality management activities.
Participates as a team member in patient care conferences with other health disciplines, and in clinical case conferences and other department/campus meetings
Facilitates appropriate patient referrals to multidisciplinary and other specialty providers
Educates, instructs, and counsels patients and families on presenting health problems, treatment plans, and home care
Performs other duties as assigned
