Department: Civil Engineering Department's Website: https://engineering.uark.edu/ Summary of Job Duties: The Lecturer of Civil Engineering will develop and deliver online graduate courses in the Sam and Janet Alley Graduate Program in Construction Management at the University of Arkansas. The position will also provide curriculum material, construct syllabi, lead online instruction, write and administer exams, evaluate student performance, and possibly serve as a committee chair for the students' comprehensive exams. This is a remote position. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in civil engineering or construction management from an accredited institution of higher education Evidence of scholarly productivity through service Exhibited commitment to teaching excellence Preferred qualifications: Experience developing and delivering online courses Expertise in teaching courses in construction productivity, real estate development, and supply chain management Additional Information: Courses in the in the Sam and Janet Alley Graduate Program in Constuction Mangement are asynchronous and are 8 weeks in duration. There are five, eight-week sessions each year.  Working professionals are recommended to take one course per eight session and therefore complete the program in two years.
