Department: CBI Industry Administration Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: Responsibilities include developing and teaching courses in welding (Arc, MIG, TIG, safety, layout and fabrication) as well as maintaining training/certification through ongoing professional development. Other duties will include engagement with advisory council; assessment/evaluation of instruction; student advisement, recruitment, and retention activities; and participation in college and University committees. The position reports to the department head of Engineering. Occasional travel and extended hours required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into computer and demonstrating various welding processes. Required abilities include walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods, as well as the ability to work overhead for limited periods of time. Visual demands include close, relatively detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen. Employee regularly talks and hears. Employee occasionally lifts items up to 50 pounds.
