What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engagement Coordinator position at University of Arizona and Careers?
The Eller College of Management is seeking a dynamic Engagement Coordinator to help with developing and implementing strategies, processes and learning experiences for Eller Undergraduate students in connection to the overall student experience. This will be accomplished through providing social initiatives and involvement in student leadership and governance.
Eller student Programs involve strategic use of technology to manage hundreds of participants, and understanding of the culture of business schools, innovative thinking to design and launch new opportunities for students, effectiveness in managing student leaders and working collaboratively with a very busy team of colleagues. This position actively works to lead engagement and leadership initiatives throughout the undergraduate program including program and project oversight, award management, event planning, website, digital and social media management, and student interaction. The undergraduate program office is currently working in a hybrid model (remote/virtual and in-person), with the intention to move back to fully in-person when permissible. Events and programs will require both virtual and in-person coordination capabilities. Some evening and weekend hours are required.

- Support student clubs and organizations, by providing guidance/ideas for club leaders and helping to make them aware of resources for their programs.
- Assist with engagement and personal development programs to hone students “soft skills” and facilitate collaboration among the student groups and our department. Requiring some work outside general business hours.
- Keep all Eller organizations in good standing with ASUA/UA and their national organizations by maintaining accurate records and documentation. As well as overseeing club bookings and space management.
- Coordinate logistics and resources for events with students to engage with peers, employers, alumni and community members including outreach to participants and event details (ex. ordering catering and facilities, etc.).
- Support student organization programming (Unity Mixer, First Year Program Advising, Mental Wealth Day, etc.), by assisting with event planning, coordination, student engagement ensuring compliance with university and departmental procedures.
- Monitor recognition of students, faculty and staff in a variety of areas, by collecting and tracking nominations and feedback. (Centurions, Student Choice Awards, Senior Awards, etc.)
- Be able to effectively promote to collectives and creatively coordinate effective outreach for participation
- Assists in helping with design of student promotional materials including digital signage, brochures, programs, etc.).
- Coordination of ordering promotional items in connection to undergraduate programming (ex: Padfolios, Honor Cords, Pins, etc.)
- Proficient communication skills - both verbal and written
- The ability to handle a variety of tasks, prioritize and problem solve
- Familiarity with PowerPoint and Canva
- Excel and database management skills
- Skill in program development such as marketing, social media, logistics and assessment
- A demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail, a motivated/enthusiastic work style, and the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment with a broad range of internal and external constituents.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
- Work experience in a related field (Marketing and/or Communications) is highly desirable.
- Event coordination experience.
