Position Highlights
The University of Arizona School of Music is accepting applications for a Cello Instructor and a Saxophone Instructor for Fall Semester 2026. This is a unique opportunity to work with undergraduate and graduate students who are studying cello or saxophone performance, music education, and Bachelor of Arts in Music majors, music minors, and non-majors in applied lessons, studio class, and chamber music.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Instruct in field of expertise: Cello/Saxophone Lessons, Studio Class, and Chamber ensembles.
- Hold regular office hours.
- Assign grades to students, based upon performance in class assignments and exams/juries.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Cello/Saxophone Performance or relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience teaching in the public or private school system and in working with individual students.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in music, with an emphasis in cello/saxophone performance or similar.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
