Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $48,600 - Midpoint: $60,800 (Salaried E7)

Department/Organization: 212701 - Special Ed and Multiple Abilities

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary: The Training Specialist plans, organizes, directs, and conducts specialized training requirements for a college, department, or division.

Additional Department Summary: The Alabama Multi-tier System of Support (AL-MTSS) is a project funded through the State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG) to provide support to targeted Alabama school districts in developing and implementing multi-tiered system of support frameworks.

This position coordinates and facilitates trainings at targeted school districts, supporting implementation of MTSS frameworks, and facilitating surveys and reports for each district.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of creating and/or facilitating training experience; OR master's degree and some creating and/or facilitating training experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.

Skills and Knowledge: Comfortability with public speaking. Comfortability with Qualtrics, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive, Zoom.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in education or related field and some professional development and/or project management experience. Knowledge of multi-tiered systems of support.
