Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $93,900 - Midpoint: $126,800 (Salaried E14)

Department/Organization: 504101 - Associate VP Facilities and Grounds

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; some nights and weekends.

Job Summary: The Facilities Quality Assurance Program Director drives the strategic vision and operational excellence across the University’s Facilities and Grounds (F&G) organization. Leads the development, implementation, and oversight of a comprehensive Quality Management program, ensuring consistent service delivery, enhanced safety, and regulatory compliance. Designs and maintains a tailored Quality Inspection and Management Plan for each F&G department. Leads quality improvement initiatives that enhance facility performance and asset integrity.

Additional Department Summary: Oversees of a comprehensive Quality Management program that spans more than 16 million square feet of campus facilities, ensuring consistent service delivery, enhanced safety, and regulatory compliance. Works with all Facilities & Grounds leadership personnel with the primary goal of achieving operational excellence and the highest possible quality standards. Transforms the Facilities & Grounds organization into a model of operational excellence, delivering high-quality, well-maintained spaces that support the University’s mission and enhance the campus experience.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, operations management, or related field and eight (8) years of work experience in maintenance, construction, facilities operation, or similar facilities related field; OR master's degree in engineering, facilities management, operations management, or related field and six (6) years of work experience in maintenance, construction, facilities operation, or similar facilities related field. Certified Educational Facilities Professional (CEFP) certification or similar facilities related certification. Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.

Skills and Knowledge: Outstanding collaboration and communication skills. Ability to develop a culture of process improvement, performance excellence, customer service, transparency, and accountability. Comprehensive understanding of facilities, maintenance, facilities operations, grounds operations, custodial operations, and facilities infrastructure. Strong skillset in process improvement / continuous improvement methodologies. Decision-making, planning, organizational, and problem-resolution skills. Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external constituents. Ability to develop, implement, and drive process improvements. Ability to function within a complex regulatory environment. Ability to participate in and actively manage change in the business environment. Ability to deliver clear, focused explanations of complex issues for varied audiences. Ability to perform on-site inspections.

Preferred Qualifications: American Society for Quality certification (ASQ), Six Sigma certification, or similar Quality Assurance related certification.
