We worship in a beautiful century-plus-year-old sanctuary as well as on Zoom and YouTube. Ours is an active facility, making space for the congregation and many neighborhood groups, with a well-used parking lot and our primary tenant, a high school dedicated to young people in sobriety and recovery.
Role description
This part-time position provides and coordinates technical support for weekly Sunday worship and other services or programs, as needed; accumulates and maintains an inventory and working knowledge of tech equipment; trains and assists tech volunteers, and communicates and coordinates with church staff. The Worship Tech Support will participate in the pre-service walkthrough, set up equipment as needed in communication with the Lead Pastor and Minister of Worship and Music; run the Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) during the service, and ensure after the service that social media channels are updated to incorporate the new content and maximize engagement.
Qualifications and core competencies
- Excellent working knowledge of cameras, computers, soundboards, OBS, audio equipment, audio/video mixing and editing software and applications
- Familiarity with computer network technology
- Sensitivity to the nuances of a worship service, awareness of worship's central importance in the congregation's life
- Technical support and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work punctually and under deadline
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to think creatively about maintaining an engaging edge to ULCH's online presence and online content
Compensation
- This is an hourly position, approximately five hours per week. Thne wage range is $22 to $35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. ULCH seeks a diverse pool of candidates.
