University Instructors (UI) is seeking dynamic face-to-face elementary Instructors. In this role, you’ll work in an assigened school to directly help students overcome learning challenges. This is a full-time, hourly teaching pathway position that is designed to lead to district employment.

Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Engage with students in a friendly and professional manner.
- Know academic standards, grade level, course content, and best instructional practices in elementary education.
- Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction.
- Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed.
- Respond to student questions in a positive and supportive manner, providing as detailed instructions as needed.
- Work with the students to set and maintain progress goals.
- Participate in relevant professional development and professional learning communities.
- Submit records related to attendance, student progress, and other UI program requirements on time.
- Support with all assigned duties, including lunch, hallway, bus, and other activities when needed.
- Co-plan with assigned teachers and grade-level teams.
- Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
- Consult with other school staff as necessary to complete the functions of the position.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:
As a successful applicant, you must have a passion for helping students succeed. Additionally, you will need to have the following:
- Be eligible for a Provisional state teaching license in the state of Florida
- Bachelor's Degree
- Be local to the area
- Two years of experience in providing grades K-5 instruction.
