- Organizes and conducts Occupational Therapy program to facilitate the rehabilitation of people with physical and/or psychosocial disabilities.
- The Occupational Therapist directs the patient's participation in selected activities/treatments to restore, re-enforce and correct pathology to promote and/or maintain good health.
- Performs evaluation(s) and develops an effective treatment plan appropriate to a patient’s rehabilitation needs within the care continuum.
- Performs effective treatment techniques in a competent manner.
- Educates patient/family/caregiver in applicable health information, treatment and prevention.
- Initiates and participates in the discharge planning process.
- Performs other department activities such as, but not limited to documentation, billing, support of department operations, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
- Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
- Monday-Friday.
- Full time 40 hours per week.
- This will be the day shift.
- Patient population will be outpatient ortho and neuro.
Sign-on Bonus:
This position is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus to eligible candidates. Eligible candidates must be newly hired to UH and have at least 1yr of OT experience.
University Hospitals is offering a $5,000 sign on bonus, minus applicable taxes, for designated regular full-time OT positions to experienced OT's (1 years or more) hired externally.
New Grad OT Candidates
This position is eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus to eligible candidates. Eligible candidates must be newly hired to UH and have less than 1yr of OT experience.
University Hospitals is offering a $3,000 sign on bonus, minus applicable taxes, for designated regular full-time OT positions to new grad OT's (less than 1 year of experience) hired externally.
