Art Therapist

Position Summary/Essential Duties:Maintains professional behavior and UH core qualities.Provides appropriate patient and family focused, relationship-based care following American Art Therapy Association standards of care (assess needs, implement, and evaluate art therapy interventions and document outcomes). 70%Collaborates and communicates with the healthcare team to deliver patient and family care. 15%Participates in trainings, team meetings, rounds, committees, and/or initiatives as appropriate to function as a team-member and uphold the AT/MT Department and UH system missions. This may also include supervision of graduate interns. 10%Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment (attends professional development opportunities, keeps up to date with relevant research and publications, continuing education). 5%

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
