Job Description
Provides diagnostic imaging services in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Operates imaging equipment and obtains quality images. Completes all aspects of the patient's exam: room prep, equipment, supplies, and medications (UAP.) Addresses questions and concerns the patient may have regarding their exam or clinic visit. Works under direction from the clinic podiatrist.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from Radiologic Technology Program and/or registry eligible or registered. Must pass registry within 6 months of graduation. Once registered, must maintain registered status.
- Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills to assist patients in the x-ray process and explain procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to assist and move patients.
- Ability to operate a computer to input and retrieve data. Maintain BLS certification for continued employment.
- One year experience in hospital or private practice clinical setting.
- Ability to troubleshoot to solve patient care issues (i.e. scheduling, phone messages, and social determinants)
- Ability to multi-task radiological and clinical activities determined by clinic flow.
