Behavioral Health Clerkship Coordinator - FT (Mon - Fri, 8:00am - 4:30pm) - Crossroads101 Truman Medical CenterJob LocationUH Behavioral HealthKansas City, MissouriWorks independently under the general direction of the assigned Manager. Develops, plans, implements and maintains the coordination of the psychiatry medical student clerkship and physician's assistant rotations for the UMKC School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry. Under the direction of the Chair and clerkship directors, assures program compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies and UMKC School of Medicine policies and provides support for teaching Faculty.
Minimum Requirements
1. Associates Degree required in a related field such as health sciences, business, public administration or education OR, a combination of experience and education resulting in attainment of equivalent knowledge and abilities.
2. Demonstrated experience providing program and/or process support
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills and professional presence with a customer service orientation.
4. Ability to interact effectively with patients, physicians, government and civic leaders. Ability to deal with issues with tact and confidentiality.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform a variety of tasks with no supervision.
6. Ability to prioritize work tasks and handle appropriately.
7. A team oriented individual with the ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff in the resolution of problems and the completion of tasks.
8. Ability to process and integrate complex information and appropriately exercise independent judgment.
9. Strong organizational skills necessary to organize and deal with workload that involves tight deadlines, managing multiple tasks and project simultaneously as well as confidentially.
10. Excellent personal computer skills including advanced skills in MS Word, Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook required.
11. Ability to organize large amounts of varied materials, maintain files, research policies and procedures, perform simple bookkeeping tasks, and transcribe dictated materials.
Preferred Requirements
1. Knowledge of accreditation or credentialing.
2. Knowledge of online course management tools such as MC Strategies and Blackboard.
3. Knowledge of online scheduling and evaluation tools.
4. Experience in a medical or academic setting.
