What You'll Be Doing
- Evaluating patients and building customized therapy plans
- Helping patients improve communication, thinking, and swallowing skills
- Adjusting treatments based on progress and goals
- Educating patients and families to support success at home
- Collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and the full rehab team
- Documenting clearly and thoroughly
- Supervising speech students and rehab techs as needed
- Pitching in on performance improvement projects and department initiatives
- Keeping your space safe, clean, and organized
- Leading or contributing to special projects and programs
- Staying current with professional development and best practices
- Supporting a culture of safety, quality, and great patient experiences
- A degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
- A current Missouri Speech Pathologist License
- Either:
- Eligibility for your Clinical Fellowship Year, or
- Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from ASHA
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
