- Liaise and develop professional relationships with DEC program managers and other NYS public sector stakeholders; federal and binational entities and policy makers; and scientists and senior-level administrators from the 18 constituent universities within the consortium.
- Organize and oversee all aspects of the consortium’s annual conference and workshops (reserving space, ordering supplies, renting PA equipment, developing agenda, etc.).
- Administer the GLRC small grants program, including development and dissemination of requests for proposals; organization and oversight of external reviewers; announcement of awards; oversight of fund distribution; and tracking awardee research progress.
- Oversee a NYS-wide research internship program for undergraduates and graduate students at the consortium’s 18 constituent universities, including application announcements; application review; placement announcement; and troubleshooting student/host entity challenges that may arise.
- Manage, record, disseminate and warehouse GLRC STREAM content from in-person seminars, symposia, and conferences.
- Serve as liaison between consortium researchers (particularly those awarded GLRC STREAM seed funding) and EarthEd.
- Prepare annual work plans for the consortium.
