What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Ride Along Attendant position at Universal Transportation?
As a Student Ride-Along Attendant, you will be responsible for supporting the safe and comfortable transportation of students in vehicles. You will ride along with the driver to assist children during pick-up and drop-off. This role is key in ensuring students feel secure and cared for throughout their ride, while also providing peace of mind to families.
We are hiring in the Joshua, Burleson, and DeSoto, TX areas.
Duties
- You will work with 1-3 kids per ride.
- Assist students with entering and exiting vehicles safely.
- Ensure student is properly buckled and seated before departure.
- Provide supervision and support during rides, helping maintain a calm and positive environment.
- Communicate with drivers about student needs or concerns during transit.
- Greet students and families warmly to create a welcoming, trustworthy atmosphere.
- Offer additional assistance to younger children or students with special needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized vehicle environment for student safety and comfort.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children (childcare, education, youth programs, or similar) is preferred.
- Patient, attentive, and compassionate personality.
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to student safety.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work collaboratively with drivers and staff.
Requirements:
- A background check will be completed prior to employment.
- Random alcohol and drug testing will be conducted.

Pay: $640.00 - $1,920.00 per month
