What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Crew Chief position at Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc.?
Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking a Survey Crew Chief to join our team! This position will include working outside in the field to conduct Field Survey tasks including gathering field data to support in-house Surveying and Engineering Departments. A well-rounded knowledge of surveying is a must. The candidate will report to the survey department manager on a daily basis at our New Jersey location at 205 Route 31 North, Washington, New Jersey.
What will you be doing?
This position will be a key member of the survey team. Duties include:
- Boundary and Topographic surveys for both private and municipal clients
- Construction layout and as-built surveys
- Engineering support surveys
What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?
This position will require the following skillsets and experience:
- Must have 5 years’ experience, for the above stated duties
- Knowledge of Trimble / Spectre equipment a plus
- Knowledge of Robotic equipment and Data collection a must
- Knowledge of real time GPS location is also a must
- Certifications: HAZWOPER, TWIC, SWAC, a plus
- Knowledge of Trimble Access and TSC5/510 Data collectors a plus
- Ability to communicate field data with detailed sketches and photos
- Travel requirements as described by daily work schedule
- Must be US Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance
