- Receive shipments from freight carrier or shipper.
- Perform visual inspection and receive items into computer tracking system.
- Safeguard goods until the original purchaser can pick up goods or provide delivery instructions.
- Assist purchasing and purchasers in resolving discrepancies as they arise.
- Answer and direct incoming calls and inquires as need.
- Bar code all capital items before releasing them to the purchaser.
- Provide backup support for Resource Center or Accounting department.
- Special Projects as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Education / Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
Skills
- Computer Skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Communication (written and verbal) and Customer Service Skills
- Strong Organizational skills with attention to detail
Abilities
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds throughout the workday
- Must be able stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl throughout the workday
- Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
- Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.
- Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods of time throughout the workday.
