Night shift: 6 pm to 6 am / 4 days on, 4 days off. 12-hour shifts - Steady days/nightsLathe or CNC experience a plus!Prior steel mill or industrial furnace experience Tow motor and crane experience Must have reliable transportationMust be able to read tape measurerDutiesCorrectly sets up machine for grade/diameter of material to be peeled, including selection of head, cutting inserts and speed, feed and dimensional inputMakes test cut. Properly assesses resulting diameter and finish. Accurately determines any corrections to be made to the settingsProperly peels entire bar with smooth, continuous finish and acceptable RMS per order specificationMonitors wear of tooling and its effect on surface finish. Replaces worn tooling to maintain acceptable product qualityComplete operator maintenance tasks and report any equipment issuesComplete all necessary tasks and/or change overs to efficiently operate equipmentEnsure the next shift is set up to run efficientlyTools/equipment used: Including but not limited to, Peeler, profilometer, pi tape, assorted hand tools, no-touch tools, hand grinder.Schedule:12-hour shiftHolidaysWeekendsDay shift or night shift Education:High school Diploma or equivalent (Required) Experience:Remote Crane: 1 year (Preferred)Forklift: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
