Duties

- Oversee property maintenance and facilities management to ensure properties are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate data entry and filing of tenant records, lease agreements, maintenance logs, and financial documents using the property management software AppFolio.
- Enforce Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines to promote equal opportunity housing and prevent discrimination.
- Handle legal administrative tasks related to landlord-tenant law, lease contracts, evictions, and dispute resolution with professionalism and transparency.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify repair needs or safety concerns; coordinate repairs with maintenance teams or vendors.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant inquiries promptly via phone or in person while maintaining professional office etiquette.
- Manage rent collection processes, upselling additional services or amenities when appropriate to enhance revenue streams.
- Collaborate with legal teams on contract negotiations and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Resolve conflicts efficiently through effective conflict management strategies to maintain positive tenant relationships.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of property management systems such as AppFolio for efficient operations.
- Strong understanding of Section 8 housing policies, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law.
- Proven experience in real estate administrative tasks including data entry, filing, contracts management, and legal documentation.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette to foster positive tenant interactions.
- Skilled in negotiation and conflict resolution to handle lease agreements, disputes, or lease renewals effectively.
- Ability to manage property maintenance schedules using CRM tools
- Demonstrated sales ability for upselling services or additional amenities that benefit tenants and increase revenue.
- Office experience with proficiency in administrative tasks such as filing, data management, and record keeping.
- Strong interpersonal skills for conflict management and maintaining positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and team members.
