Job Summary
The Graphic Designer is an advocate for exceptional design and creates solutions that translate complex concepts and multi-faceted marketing initiatives into simple, elegant, and practical customer experiences.
- Driving design strategy and execution for all assigned company business, including UPCIC, Clovered, American Platinum, uConnect and Universal Insurance Holdings
- Leading and sometimes supervising the creation of a range of touch points, including promotional and operational, across mediums (e.g., advertisements, print materials, presentations, informational graphics, user interfaces, and templates)
- Producing concepts for high-profile campaigns, brands, and products, often requiring market research and investigation
- Applying influencing and presentation skills to secure buy-in for design concepts
- Following and enhancing brand standards
- Building strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders, marketing team members, and vendors, acting as the subject matter expert for the design discipline
- Collaborating with external agency partners, freelancers, and contractors, managing relationships and providing project guidance and brand governance
- Managing multiple projects with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines effectively
- Consistently delivering fresh ideas for a variety of branding projects
- Producing superior creative solutions that achieve company business objectives
- Executing projects from initial concept through feedback, revisions, preparation of final art files, and vendor coordination
- Assisting with other tasks and projects as assigned
- Good illustration and data visualization skills, as well as strong typographic skills, understanding of type hierarchy and structure
- 5 years of professional graphic design experience using software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and InDesign
- Video creating and editing experience is a plus
