Shift: 1st Shift, Mon – Thurs, 6:00am – 4:30pm

Hourly Rate: Starting rate $17.50/Hr - depending on years of experience and education, eligible for company Skill Pay Progression Program

Open Position: CNC Operator

Minimum requirements:

• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check
• Must provide favorable past work reference
• Up to 95 % standing throughout the day
• Must have good attendance history
• Must have 1 year previous experience in operating machinery & set-ups
• Mechanical skills important
• Basic Shop Math & Blueprint Reading is important

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

· Job Summary:

Conducts and operates computer numeric controlled (CNC) equipment for the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Performs precision tool machining operations through monitoring feed rates, speed, and special instruments.

· Conducts inspections through the utilization of measuring instruments that provide for accuracy. Uses calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and scales.

· Continuously performs preventative maintenance, which includes cleaning and maintain safe workspaces.

· Meets organizational production goals including cycle time, quality, and quality.

· Utilizes blueprints and dimensions, machine instructions, and special project guidelines.

· May have working knowledge of programming CNC machines to ensure proper calculations, parameters, and other condition requirements.

· Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Posses solid working knowledge of subject matter. Typically requires accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 2-4 years of experience.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to work a 10-hour shift.

Must be able to lift to 40 pounds.
