Assistant Manager, Warehouse & Mailroom - Universal Kids Resort

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for oversight of the warehouse and mail room operation to include but not limited to receiving, storing, delivery and shipment of all goods and related supplies used by various Universal Kids Resort (UKR) departments. Provides daily direction to staff to ensure the effective operation of the warehouse and mail room including the handling of incoming and outgoing mail and packages.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees the effective operation of the UKR warehouse spaces and mail room. Ensures labor goals, efficiencies, safety and quality standards are being met and addressed consistently. Effectively handles and properly reports any incidents, Team Member issues and operational deficiencies. Plans for and efficiently executes requests made by other departments related to warehouse and mail room needs.
• Responsible for overseeing the outgoing shipment and receiving of all goods, packages and mail including but not limited to Merchandise, Food and Beverage products, Ride & Show products, supplies and more to and from the warehouse/storage areas and departments. Ensures mail, packages, supplies and products are delivered to various UKR departments in an accurate and timely manner, expediting urgent needs. Ensures Team Members are appropriately and safely handling, processing and storing all items. Ensures safety compliance and keeps safety a top priority of the team.
• Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and developing assigned team. Establishes initiatives and ensures team is executing those initiatives to increase Team Member Satisfaction (TSAT) and Guest Satisfaction (GSAT) according to plan/strategy. Supports Supervisors with the coaching, performance management and counseling of hourly Team Members.
• Enforces department policies and procedures, inclusive of training and safety, while working with the Manager to identify and develop new departmental policies and procedures. Maintains labor budgets and labor optimization through effective scheduling and coverage. Approves and creates weekly schedules for distribution to Team Members.
• Responsible for providing duty manager coverage for assigned area as needed. Duties will include responding to escalated incidents and making the proper notifications including Sr. Leadership. Leads and assists with projects, seasonal initiatives, and sustainment efforts.
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Supervises a Non-Exempt team.

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  
  

EXPERIENCE:

• 3 years in Warehouse, Shipping, Receiving and Inventory Control experience required, 1 years of supervisory experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
