CDL-A Company Shuttle Drivers Needed – Home Daily!
Universal Dedicated is seeking reliable CDL-A shuttle drivers for our Detroit, MI terminal. This is a great opportunity to join a union position with consistent local freight, stable scheduling, and long-term growth potential.
Terminal Location:
11851 Freud St
Detroit, MI 48214
Pay:
- $21.00/hr – 0–1 year experience
- $22.50/hr – 1 year experience
- $24.25/hr after 1 year of employment
Position Details:
- Local shuttle operations (home daily)
- 2nd shift openings 2pm - 11:30 pm
- Overtime typically 1-5 hours per week
- Union position with benefits
- Touch freight (chaining/strapping loads only — no loading/unloading)
Responsibilities:
- Transport materials between warehouse and designated locations
- Secure loads using chains or straps as required
- Follow all warehouse and safety procedures when entering facilities
- Check in with dispatch/management for assignments
- Maintain DOT compliance at all times
- Be flexible with assignments during initial onboarding period
Training:
- T2T training accepted for recent graduates
- Mentorship available across all shifts
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Clean driving record with strong safety history
- Ability to follow DOT and safety regulations
- Strong communication and reliability
