Universal Laboratories is seeking an individual for a full time position in the wet chemistry department in Hampton, VA. We are looking for a well- rounded individual that is highly motivated to succeed in a VELAP accredited environmental laboratory.
Job Description:
- Analysis of environmental samples for inorganic chemistry parameters including, but not limited to, BOD, COD, TKN, NH3, Fl, Cl, hardness, solids analysis, phosphorus, NO3, NO2, alkalinity, and some microbiological analysis.
- Preparation and standardization of solutions.
- Calibration and temperature documentation of laboratory equipment.
- Calculations and data reporting.
- Routine cleaning of work area.
- Use of instrumentation
- Any other duties as assigned.
- Hours of Work: Universal Laboratories operates 7 days per week, 365 days per year. This position will require weekend work as a routine part of the position. An eight hour day is usually required between the hours of 9:30am and 8:00 pm (must be flexible) 5 days per week. Work schedule is based on work load.
