Universal Insulation Doctor is a rapidly growing insulation company, specializing in residential attic and sub-floor insulation and more. We are looking for an experienced crew leader to be part of this division. Ideal candidates will be experienced in installation, takeoff, and estimating aspects of residential insulation with knowledge of batts, blown in, and air-seal applications.
Responsibilities:
- Safety: following our safety protocol and ensuring a safe work environment on the job, in the vehicle and at the office.
- Install insulation materials in residential and commercial buildings
- Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas
- Apply insulation to ceilings, floors, and other surfaces
- Seal gaps and cracks with caulk or other sealants to prevent air leaks
- Install vapor barriers to control moisture levels
- Install insulation around HVAC systems and ductwork
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and building codes to ensure proper installation
- Use equipment such as gas power insulation vacuums, electric insulation blower machines, and air-seal equipment
- Ensure each and every job is completed exactly to company specifications prior to departing customers home. This will include complete clean-up of the property.
Qualifications:
- Must have a good DMV record and able to opporate a box van.
- Previous experience in insulation installation, fiberglass, mineral wall and blow in insulation. Spray foam isn't required but preferred.
- Knowledge of different types of insulation materials and their applications, material take off sheets
- Familiarity with construction techniques and tools used in insulation installation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, lifting, and climbing
