Universal Hydraulics International, Ltd. is seeking a candidate for a Customer Service / Warehouse Support person in our Twinsburg, Ohio office. This position combines interpersonal skills and warehouse management to be a critical role in UHI LTD’s growth and continued success.
UHI LTD is a family-owned business operating from Twinsburg, Ohio for 20 years, with an emphasis on doing “whatever it takes” to assist our customer base. We are the master distributor for Duplomatic Motion Solutions in North America, and represent UFI’s hydraulic line in North America. We also carry our own line of products.

Open Position
We are currently seeking applicants for a Customer Service / Warehouse Support person who will acquire knowledge of the hydraulic industry, parts and applications as part of the job. This position requires someone with excellent communication skills including active listening, and the ability to research using technical catalogs. Candidates must have a willingness to be a “jack of all trades”, as we are a small business and often require staff to be flexible and take on duties outside their area of specialization, for example warehouse and clerical work.
Skills / Knowledge required
Ability to acquire knowledge in areas they are not familiar with
Ability to help customers choose the right products to fit their application or needs - will train
The ability to learn and understand hydraulic part / technical spec sheets – will train
The ability to lift up to 60 lbs
Basic computer skills including word processing and e-mail
Mechanical aptitude, ability to use basic hand tools on hydraulic parts
Self-Starter - the ability to see a need, and initiative to try and fill it
Excellent communication skills, ability to build rapport
Ability to work on a team, positive attitude
Ability to document processes, conversations, and keep systems up to date
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a less structured environment
Excellent listening skills
The ability to retrieve and carry product using step ladders
The ability to see and understand physical tags and signage
Take on additional work as required
Familiarity with the distribution industry a plus
High School diploma or GED required
Major Responsibilities:
Take phone calls / answer e-mails from new and existing customers, navigate computer system to answer questions, enter orders.
Follow up with customers on a variety of topics in a timely manner, manage numerous ongoing conversations
Provide a high level of customer service to all customers, coworkers, vendors, etc…
Develop and maintain working knowledge of Duplomatic and UFI products, as well as competitor products in order to offer UHI LTD alternatives whenever possible – will train
Keep accurate records in UHI LTD systems, document processes for cross-training.
Report any trends, concerns, customer issues, and significant opportunities to management for additional follow-up.

Warehouse general maintenance – keep supplies stocked, keep warehouse neat and clean

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
