Position Summary The Step-Down Navigator is responsible for meeting with all eligible patients to discuss the benefits of stepdown services as part of their continuum of care treatment. The Step-Down Navigator will be responsible for communicating eligibility to key members of senior leadership & associated departments and will be responsible for routinely collecting and entering data, specific to eligibility, into Midas for trending report purposes. Job Duties/Responsibilities: The Step-Down Navigator will collaborate with the following departments: Clinical Services: To ensure the patient is clinically appropriate to participate in programming Business Office: To ensure the patient has covered benefits and to discuss copay responsibilities Inpatient Utilization Review: To ensure the patient is authorized to step-down to a different level of care Outpatient Services: To ensure the outpatient program is aware of the patient’s anticipated admission date About Universal Health Services One of the nation’s largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services, Universal Health Services, Inc. Experience: Minimum two (2) years experience in psychiatric/mental health field. Licensure: N/A Additional Requirements: Successful completion of CPR Certification and successful completion of Handle with Care training. Certification and training may be obtained during new hire orientation.
