The spacious campus borders Fairmount Park in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia. With one of the leading alcohol and drug detox and rehab programs in Philadelphia, Fairmount is the provider of choice for individuals requiring specialized co-occurring psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment.We are currently seeking a full-time Day Registered Nurse to join our team.

TheRegistered Nursesupervises the delivery of nursing care provided byprofessionaland support nursing staff on a designated unit.Care is provided in a manner consistent with the philosophy andobjectivesof Fairmount Behavioral Health System and the ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care and the Nursing Board of Pennsylvania.The Registered Nurse prescribes, coordinates, and delegates careutilizingthe nursing process which is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care.The Registered Nurse is accountable for nursing care activities on a shift basis andis responsible forpromoting and enhancing professional nursingpracticeon the unit.

Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 7am-730pm and every other weekend.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.

• One (1) year prior psychiatric nursing experience preferred, prior experience working with specific psychiatric patient population preferred.

• Licensure and registration by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners as a registered nurse. Certification in CPR,AEDand First Aid.

• Mustpossessknowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting,behaviorand crisis management.
