Spring Valley Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities. Located in southwest Las Vegas, the 364-bed hospital offers emergency care, advanced cardiovascular and neurological surgeries and procedures, surgical services, women's health, comprehensive maternity services, a level III neonatal intensive care unit, and specialty programs in stroke, chest pain, advanced wound care and hyperbaric medicine with a limb salvage program.
Job Description:
Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a license pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.
QualificationsEducation:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred . Experience One (1) year experience preferred. Technical Skills Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.) License/Certification Current license as Pharmacy Technician in State of Nevada, Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the National Healthcareer Association as a pharmacy technician.
Compensation Range:
$20.52 - $27.19 / hour
