Position Summary:
Mental Health Technicians provide direct care and supervision for residents, assure residents are kept safe, learn and practiceappropriate hygieneand self-help skills, and are aware of rules and expectations. Act as a role model for residents,demonstratingeffective problem solving and decision-making skills.Assistin providing recreational and therapeutic activities for the residents, transporting residents to and from medical appointments, and assuring scheduled programming is carried out. Perform duties as assignedin accordance withthe ANA Standards of Practice for Psychiatric Mental Health Care, and facility mission, values, policies, and behavioral standards. Mental Health Technicians report to the Unit Coordinator under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Highschool diploma or equivalent required.Bachelor's degree in psychologyor related field preferred.
Experience: Sixmonths to one year of experience working with a behavioral health in-patient population preferred.
Additional Requirements:Mustbe at least 21 years of age.
Work Hours: Day shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, rotating weekends
Unit: All-Women's Psych Unit
